UNAIR NEWS聽鈥 Started as an assignment in Entrepreneuship class, Muhammad Ali Ridho, a student of Islamic Economy 东京热 (UNAIR) 2013, with his team held an exhibition called Creative Stick聽(CREASTIK). The exhibition was held together with orphans from 聽Al-Amal orphanage Surabaya, in Fadjar Notonegoro Hall in Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR, Sunday, May 15.
In the course taught by Luthfi Nur Rosyidi, S.E., M.M, students were encouraged to compete in running their entrepreneurial programs. Entrepreneurship is also a way to prepare for ASEAN Economic Community (MEA).
鈥淎t first, this program was only an assignment in class. With limited fund, five of us wanted to succeed this entrepreneurial activity. Finally we worked on 鈥颁谤别补迟颈惫别听厂迟颈肠办鈥. We also cooperated with other institution to get additional fund,鈥 said Ridho, head of a committee in CREASIK exhibition.
CREASIK exhibition was also attended by Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE, MSi, CMA, Ak, CA as the Dean of FEB, Rahmat Sudaryono as the representative of Surabaya government and 90 orphans from Al-Amal orphanage, Surabaya. In this exhibition there was a talk show entitled 鈥淜uliah Nyambi Kerja鈥 聽which invited Andi Fakhrum Abadi as the CEO Rudofa Tech, and Diza Hanifa an actress in 鈥淧reman Pensiun鈥 TV series as speakers. They shared their experiences on entrepreneurship, also motivated the orphans.
The exhibition was participated by 39 teams, 5 people each. They were asked to start a business in order to train their soft skill, especially soft skill in making policies which later give benefits to wider society, either as entrepreneurs or sociopreneurs. Ali鈥檚 team invited Al-Amal orphans and distribute 1000 ice-cream sticks and tools to join the competition. The sticks can be a replica of houses to train creativity and teamwork.
There was a great work made by Wulan Dari with her team which attracted Dean of FEB. Wulan Dari and her team became the first winner in the exhibition.
鈥淚 am proud of them and deeply appreciate, especially to the lecturer which supervises them. If I were the lecturer, I would give them A+. This program should be continued, it has especially Islamic quality,鈥 said Prof. Dian. (*)
