UNAIR NEWS – Parents’ roles in the children’s future are important, so even though their children study at college, they still have full responsibility on their children’s success. To support parents’ roles optimalization, Faculty of Humanities (FIB) UNAIR held a publicization for Cyber Campus UNAIR program on Saturday, May 28.

Held in Siti Parwati Hall FIB UNAIR, the publicization was held to strengthen ties and enliven the Student Parents Association (IKOMA). Dean of FIB UNAIR, Diah Ariani Arimbi, S.S., MA., Ph.D., explained the importance of Cyber Campus as a media to watch over students activity. The Dean of FIB UNAIR added that this year IKOMA will run again.

“Ikoma will later be a way to realize FIB visions and missions, the fund collected will purely for the students’ activities, academic or non-academic, to support UNAIR mission to reach Top 500 world university,” she said.

Vice Dean I FIB UNAIR,  Puji Karyanto, S.S., M.Hum., added and elaborated information on academic activities in FIB. The importance of cyber campus was also emphasized, from the media to acquire students’ data, schedules, attendance list, finance, academic calendar and students’ status and the academic performances.

“Through Cyber Campus parents can control their children as well as be communication media with lecturers,” he said.

The event was also an event to introduce students’ creativity in student organizations. There was also an elaboration on FIB excellent  programs such as acceleration program for bachelor and master in five years, also their excellence which brings the faculty towards global level. (*)
