UNAIR NEWS 鈥撀There were about 180 participants of entrepreneurship student program (PMW) attending entrepreneurship camp held by Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) 东京热 (UNAIR). It was held on Friday and Saturday, May 13 and 14, 2015.
On the first day of the camp, participants had a training with Michael Goldberg, Professor Assistant of management School, Case Western Reserve University, The USA. The training was held in Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office Building UNAIR. Michael presented topics on entrepreneurship and financial management during the start of a business.
One of the camp participants, Rico Adrianto, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) student, said that Michael鈥檚 presentation was quite useful for new businessman.
鈥淗e explained how to make a great presentation. It is important to invite sponsors to invest on startup business,鈥 said Rico.
On the second day, the camp was filled with other interesting presentations. The speakers were Syafril Riza with 鈥楳y Business My Passion鈥, Dr. Dra. Hamidah, M.Psi, with 鈥楾eam and Time Management鈥, Yudi Kemal Akbar with 鈥楳ake Your Partner as Your Future鈥, and Reco Setyo with 鈥楽tandard Operational Procedure鈥. The second day was held in Fadjar Notonegoro hall, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) , UNAIR.
On the second day, PMW participants were invited to do a role play. Participants were divided into groups through first letters of their names. They were trained to simulate how to be a good team member.
鈥淓ach individual makes group based on the first letter of their names. So there will be more groups right, as there are many alphabets and they were mixed from many faculties. They were tasked to solve some problems and they have their own opinions,鈥 said Dr. Tri Siwi Agustina, S.E., M.Si, the supervisor of PMW UNAIR.
Bootcamp PMW held for two days received a positive response from the participants. Fairuzuddin, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UNAIR 聽student said that the speakers were so interesting and engaging.
鈥淲e also need guidance or real practice. Mas Yukem gave an appropriate performance. So it was on target,鈥 said Fairuz.
Hetty, PMW participant who submit an idea of Coco Bag business, said that the topics presented were quite useful with understandable presentation for the participants.
鈥淭he topics were presented very communicatively, as the speakers were young and energetic. Yesterday, I got a book from the games,鈥 said Hetty.
Siwi as the person in charge of PMW UNAIR said that the camp was a part of PMW activities. Training camp was followed by all participants who were through the PMW selections. Next, the participants who were through the next selection will be announced in the near future to join other activities. (*)
