The event took place at the Graduate School Campus of UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri on Thursday (23\/7\/2026).<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This FGD focused on a research project entitled Downstream Development of Bromo&#8217;s Green Economy: Transforming Spring and Carbon Ecosystems into a Village Scholarship Endowment Fund. The discussion was chaired by Prof Dr H Muhammad Adib Drs MA, Coordinator of Lab MaBuRag UNAIR and host of the event. Also in attendance were Prof Dr H Moh Asror Yusuf MAg, Director of the Graduate School of UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri and host institution <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">representative, as well as Dr Ahmad Sodiq from UIN SATU Tulungagung, who participated as a Riskolab partner.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1\"><b>A holistic anthropological approach to environmental sustainability<\/b><\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this collaborative research, UNAIR team introduced a concept centred on environmental conservation and community empowerment. The proposed research adopts a holistic approach by integrating human, cultural, and corporeal dimensions into a comprehensive analytical framework.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this approach, anthropology extends beyond a narrow focus on human beings to engage closely with the environment, health, and culture in developing solutions to complex societal challenges. Amid the growing threat of global warming, the UNAIR laboratory also plays an important role in raising public awareness of the need to protect forests, water resources, and air quality in order to maintain ecological balance.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2\"><b>Appreciation from academic partners<\/b><\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The performance, collaboration, and innovative approach demonstrated by the UNAIR team received high praise from its research partners. Prof Yusuf expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate with the UNAIR team under the coordination of Prof Adib. He noted that the collaboration was characterised by a well-planned, well-structured, and comprehensive research design supported by robust data.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI believe the commitment to finding solutions for the community is truly commendable. I have seen how Prof Adib and the Lab MaBuRag team work together cohesively. It is their dedication and remarkably strong commitment that I admire most,\u201d said Prof Yusuf.&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEchoing this view, Dr Sodiq also praised the scholarly approach adopted by the UNAIR team. \u201cThis approach is what sets Lab MaBuRag apart from other laboratories,\u201d said Dr Sodiq.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research partners expressed their hope that the laboratory&#8217;s teamwork would continue to grow stronger and that its role as a solution-oriented laboratory would be sustained. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They also hoped that its structured initiatives to equip students while providing advocacy for communities would continue, ensuring that the knowledge it generates delivers tangible benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By strengthening collaborative research, Lab MaBuRag of FISIP UNAIR remains committed to delivering solutions to social and environmental challenges faced by communities.
