UNAIR NEWS<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0Alzheimer\u2019s disease, also known as dementia, is a neurodegenerative condition characterized by a progressive, chronic decline in memory function. This disorder leads to memory impairment, often manifesting as forgetfulness or cognitive lapses. Alzheimer\u2019s disease occurs when the hippocampus, a key region of the brain responsible for memory, is damaged, resulting in brain shrinkage.
