Furthermore, she felt that her cultural intelligence skills improved during IISMA because she met people with <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW62746571 BCX0\">different backgrounds<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW62746571 BCX0\"> living in a country with unfamiliar culture.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW62746571 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;IISMA allows us to take courses that are not directly related to our study programs. The most significant challenge she felt was the <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW242960811 BCX0\">dissimilar<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW242960811 BCX0\"> weather between the Czech Republic and Indonesia, especially Surabaya. Additionally, the walking culture and milder food were also obstacles for her.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW242960811 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW135097892 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-ID\" xml:lang=\"EN-ID\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW135097892 BCX0\">&#8220;IISMA is not just all about rainbows. Besides the advantages I felt, there are certainly challenges as well. However, gradually I was able to adapt to these differences,&#8221; she explained.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW135097892 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-49c65832c04481385aa40a4bf8c5faad\"><strong><span class=\"TextRun SCXW98385062 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-ID\" xml:lang=\"EN-ID\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW98385062 BCX0\">Tips <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW98385062 BCX0\">before <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW98385062 BCX0\">writing<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW98385062 BCX0\"> an essay<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW98385062 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-ID\" xml:lang=\"EN-ID\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\">For her, the essay is one of the crucial documents for IISMA because assessors can evaluate applicants through the essay. Therefore, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\">Mevi<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\"> shared some tips that students can do before <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\">writing<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\"> an essay. The first tip <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\">Mevi<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW100310813 BCX0\"> mentioned is to find a unique and genuine purpose.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW100310813 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW82873148 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-ID\" xml:lang=\"EN-ID\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW82873148 BCX0\">&#8220;Find something that can represent you and your uniqueness. These aspects include past experiences, current skills, and aspirations.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW12890628 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW149554543 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-ID\" xml:lang=\"EN-ID\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW149554543 BCX0\">&#8220;Then find a common thread to connect the three aspects and your personal brand <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW149554543 BCX0\">to apply<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW149554543 BCX0\"> for IISMA and the selection of the campus and courses.
