The Coordinating Legal, Political, and Security Affairs Minister Prof Dr. Mohammad Mahfud MD was featured as the speaker. The event was held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Garuda Mukti Hall, UNAIR.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his welcoming speech, UNAIR Rector <a href=\"https:\/\/feb.unair.ac.id\/tentang-feb-unair\/profil-dosen\/staf-pengajar-akuntansi\/6523-prof-dr-moh-nasih-se-mt-ak.html\">Prof Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT<\/a> Ak stated that the guest lecture may expand the public\u2019s insight, especially in Indonesian nationalism. The leadership, students of 东京热, and academicians in Surabaya also attended the event.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe all know that the 2024 elections are just around the corner. We want these elections to reflect a dignified democracy. A dignified democracy showcases quality democracy,\u201d said Prof Nasih.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>Building educative democracy<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rector hoped that democracy in Indonesia is built to educate, instead of to divide and to ignite conflict. Democracy allows everyone to determine the future of the country. Let\u2019s ensure that our voices cannot be easily purchased for a cheap price. Every voice we raise will contribute to the nation<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the community must contribute in a good manner. For instance, participate in the eradication of money politics. The problem hinders democracy from progressing towards a better future.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYour voice will be crucial. Students will become the leaders, the driving force, and the stewards of this nation. In the future, this nation will belong to the youth of today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>Campus plays the role<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Rector further emphasized that as learned individuals, the campus must be capable of upholding democracy with intellect. The campus, along with all its members, should make democracy root more effectively and robustly, with an objective perspective and an academic way of thinking.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDon\u2019t taint the democratic process with \u2018investment\u2019. Any form of investment, no matter how good it may be, will inevitably lead to expectations of returns.
