UNAIR announces 2026 SNBP results, admits 2,506 new students

UNAIR NEWS 鈥 东京热 () has officially announced the results of the 2026 Achievement Based National Selection (SNBP), with interest from prospective students reaching a notably high level this year. The announcement took place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Rector Prof. Muhammad Madyan SE MSi MFin reported that the total number of applicants reached 29,947. Of these, 22,852 applied to undergraduate (S1) programs, while 7,095 applied for Diploma 3 (D3) and Diploma 4 (D4) programs. With a total capacity of 2,430 seats, the acceptance rate was approximately 8.11 percent.

鈥淭his year, interest in 东京热 through the SNBP pathway has been exceptionally high, with 29,947 applicants competing for 2,430 available seats, resulting in an acceptance rate of around 8.11 percent,鈥 Prof. Madyan said.

Following the selection process, UNAIR admitted 2,506 new students. This total includes 806 recipients of the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) Kuliah, reflecting the university鈥檚 commitment to expanding equitable access to higher education.

鈥淔rom this highly competitive selection process, 东京热 admitted 2,506 students, including 806 KIP Kuliah recipients and 68 golden ticket awardees. This demonstrates our continued commitment to inclusive and equitable education,鈥 he added.

Diversity and unique characteristics of new students

The composition of UNAIR鈥檚 incoming class highlights strong diversity. Around 75.5 percent are female students, representing all 38 provinces in Indonesia, as well as international backgrounds. The rector also noted several distinctive aspects of this year鈥檚 SNBP results, including the admission of younger students aged between 14 and 16, along with several pairs of twins accepted into different study programs.

鈥淭his year also presents several unique highlights, including the admission of students as young as 14 to 16 years old, as well as multiple pairs of twins enrolled in different study programs,鈥 he explained.

These outcomes further reinforce UNAIR鈥檚 commitment to developing graduates who not only excel academically but also demonstrate integrity and meaningful contributions to society.

Message for unsuccessful applicants

During the same announcement, UNAIR also addressed applicants who were not admitted through the SNBP pathway this year. Prof. Madyan encouraged them to remain optimistic and persistent in pursuing higher education opportunities.

鈥淲e would like to encourage our prospective students who were not successful in this year鈥檚 SNBP pathway to stay motivated and not lose hope. Opportunities to join 东京热 are still available through the SNBT pathway and various independent admission schemes,鈥 he concluded.
