UNAIR NEWS听鈥撀东京热聽, through Airlangga Global Engagement (聽聽), is working with a German educational institution DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst), to discuss opportunities for academic collaboration.聽The Strategic Meeting of 东京热 and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)聽was held in the Kahuripan Room, MERR-C Campus Management Office Building, on Friday, May 12, 2023.
Attending at the meeting were Dr Guido Schnieders as Director of DAAD, Dina Septiani B Comm MComm PhD as Vice Director of Airlangga Global Engagement, Annisa Fitria as Head of Research Science and Technology Section, German Embassy in Jakarta, and Niko Azhari Hidayat from SpBTKV as Secretary of LPPM (Research and Community Service Institute) UNAIR.
Providing scholarships
In starting the collaboration, Dina offered programs at 东京热 to the academic community, domestically and abroad. They include student exchanges, research collaborations, research grants, and other potential collaborations.
鈥淲e are ready to collaborate and support international students to study at UNAIR with various facilities and offered scholarships. We also provide Indonesian language courses for international students,鈥 explained Dina.
Academic collaboration opportunities
Guido explained that research and academic collaboration between Indonesia and Germany was a program that had started in 1979 through cooperation in the form of a聽Science Technology Cooperation Agreement.聽He is ready to provide UNAIR marketing partnership聽support聽for collaboration aimed at universities in Germany.
鈥淚 am interested in UNAIR鈥檚 internationalization strategy and see opportunities for cooperation between Indonesia and Germany. An international form of business. So we want to explore further into this potential,鈥 said Guido.
Connection to faculties
Furthermore, Guido added that DAAD also wants to establish connections with faculties at UNAIR. The aim is to connect with universities in Germany, especially in the context of joint research. He also put his trust in UNAIR, one of the top universities in Indonesia, to take advantage of this opportunity.
鈥淐urrently, Germany is opening wider opportunities to conduct research on an international scale. Of course, we want to invite UNAIR as one of our strategic partners,鈥 said Guido. (*)
